Bilbee Controls conduction type thermostats do not use typical bonded bimetal strips. The contacts are opened and closed by expansion and contraction of the base plate resulting in vertical movement of the specially-formed, low-expansion thermal spring. as shown in the cut-away animation here.

Factory sealed & calibrated thermostat
This unit is sold as is, and is not adjustable, it is calibrated at the factory to operate as listed on this page.
This unit's temperature range spans from "room temperature" to 600F with a tolerance of +/- 5% of the set temperature.
This unit can be "base mounted" as shown, or "side mounted" which ships with the "side mount bracket" for you to adapt to your system or product.
Factory calibrated & customer sealed thermostat
This unit is sold as "To be sealed by the customer"
In order to account for differences in thermal conductivity through various means you may need to modify or calibrate your thermostats "on-site" which is why we have developed a UL accepted policy of having the customer "seal" their own B-1200 units "on-site".
Customers received these units "un-sealed" with instructions as to where and what to purchase for sealing material, then seal once "self-calibrated"
These units will not be UL compliant if not sealed, so this is a MUST once they have been calibrated.
